During her 32 time tenureship of the Berrynarbor Newsletter, Judie worked with a wide range of artists - commissioning them to illustrate the covers, articles and posters for each edition.

Both her parents were keen amateur artists, but with a busy working life and a young family to bring up Judie never really had the time to follow in their footsteps. With her retirement, first from working life and now from the Newsletter she has been able to put that right.

Having at first taken up art as a hobby, she has since become prolific! Something which has become increasingly useful as we have created this online digital repository, particularly where copyright has prevented the use images within articles. In addition, many of the unattributed local photographs that have featured in the Newsletter were taken by Judie.

With this in mind, we decided it was for Judie's artwork to be celebrated in its own right.
